It talks on a normal phone call.
There is no special phone line and no extra hardware. Arya AI uses your phone's own speaker and microphone, the way you would on speakerphone.
From ring to summary.
The call starts
For the Call Assistant, someone rings you and you don't pick up in time. For the Sales Caller, you tap Call or start the list and the app dials the number.
The app turns on the speaker
It answers the call, or waits for the other person to answer, and puts the call on speaker.
The microphone listens
Your phone's microphone hears the other person. Short pieces of their speech go to the Arya AI server and come back as text. The audio is thrown away once it is transcribed.
The AI writes a reply
It answers using only the information you gave it, in one or two short sentences, in the caller's language.
The phone speaks it
The reply is read aloud through the speaker, so the other person hears it down the line. Then it listens again.
You get the result
When the conversation ends, the app hangs up and you receive a summary. The Sales Caller also records the yes-or-no answer and lights the number.
A recent Android phone.
- Android 10 or newer
- An internet connection during calls
- A Google account to sign in
- Permission for Microphone, Phone and Notifications
- For spoken languages, the Google text-to-speech voice installed on the phone
Because it uses the speaker, the room matters.
A quiet place and a normal call volume give the best results. Take the phone out of a thick case if the caller sounds muffled.
Phones differ.
Some phone models and Android versions limit microphone access during calls. Try Arya AI with a friend on your own phone before you rely on it.
Expect a short pause.
The assistant needs a moment to listen, think and speak. It is a conversation, not an instant reply.
The details that matter.
Why does it use the speaker?
Android does not let ordinary apps listen in on a call's own audio line. Putting the call on speaker lets the phone's microphone hear the caller, and lets the caller hear the AI.
Does the Sales Caller keep dialling when I lock the screen?
That depends on the Android version and phone brand. Keep the app open on screen while it calls. If dials fail three times in a row, the campaign stops and tells you why.
What if the line goes quiet?
If the app cannot hear anyone, the call page shows a warning. Raise the call volume, check that no other app is using the microphone, and try again.
What if the call reaches voicemail?
The Sales Caller recognises voicemail greetings and recorded messages, hangs up, and marks the number to be tried again later.
Where does the AI come from?
Speech-to-text and the AI that writes replies are services chosen when Arya AI is set up for you. They can be OpenAI or an open-source model. Each has its own privacy terms. Privacy details.
